Spotlight On – BellaCrafts

BellaCrafts was established in 2009 from humble beginnings, grown from attending craft fairs and creating crafts at home. It is now a thriving business with two Craft Centres in Fair Oak and Winchester, Hampshire. It is still very much an independent family business, offering a range of craft supplies, tea rooms and large spaces to run inhouse events such as our famous Christmas Grotto, parties, workshops, networking and for the use of many other groups. They are community hubs that see 100s of weekly customers benefitting from our unique, friendly spaces. BellaCrafts sell a treasure trove of craft supplies including papercraft, material, wool, haberdashery, children’s kits and bead supplies; and their teams like nothing more than offering advice and ideas. BellaCrafts also runs a whole host of events throughout the South East visiting businesses, events, schools, county shows and community projects and groups.

BellaCrafts was established by Belinda Sampson who saw a much-needed demand for a place to use, have time, craft and socialise for all ages. Belinda felt compelled to fill this space! Coming from a large family, Belinda wanted to provide a place that was flexible, fun and affordable for families, individuals and groups. BellaCrafts is now a space that you can simply turn up and take part in activities, book groups or workshops and enjoy homemade cake, refreshments and themed lunches. ‘We’ve always strived to offer a place that is easy and ready for anyone to use whether it’s entertaining the children, something to do with your friends or work colleagues or a memorable party or baby shower. Victoria, my sister, and I have worked closely for many years building our unique space and are proud to see so many happy customers using us. We are proud to have seen the organic growth of our business and are now established go to destinations’.

BellaCrafts, like others, has been recently closed due to the pandemic but they are remaining positive, ’Obviously the Coronavirus has hit everyone hard, and the most important thing is everyone stays safe and healthy. We are of course looking forward to reopening and will be ready to hit the ground running! We have had months of events and bookings postponed which we will be re-running but also, we feel families, groups, businesses, everyone will be ready to celebrate, meet up and enjoy their time together once everything resumes, and we will certainly be ready to offer our spaces for this! Perhaps life will change for the better and we will see more people enjoying their down time and valuing free time much more. We are looking forward to once again creating a unique, friendly, relaxed space for everyone to use’. BellaCrafts has seen their online activities and followers increase during this time and they have been proactive in launching their YouTube channel, which they are excited to see grow.

BellaCrafts Centres are (usually!) open every day plus online kits, vouchers and group activities to book. Their social media offer informative craft videos, ideas and children’s activities.
