Craft Arena Re-opens

Craft Arena is pleased to announce the reopening of our shop, studio and gallery on the easing of Government restrictions on Wednesday 14th April 2021.

This coincides with the 14th anniversary of our opening at Barleylands Craft Village and we will be celebrating with special offers and a tombola in aid of mental health charity MIND.

Owner Denise Gannon says “It has been exceedingly difficult over the last few months, both for the business and personally, but we are looking forward to seeing our wonderful customers again in person. They have been so supportive during lockdown, often emailing to wish us well and making purchases where they can, online, over the phone and via email. Although we have not been able to hold classes in person, we have held some via Zoom and are looking forward to welcoming people back into the studio as soon as it is saft to do so, to learn and develop their skills. In my experience craft is so important in improving mental health and wellbeing. I have seen the benefits in my own mental health as well as within my family and my customers have told me they would not have survived lockdown without their crafts!

Denise adds “Studies show that participating in crafts contributes to psychological wellbeing, increasing self awareness, pride in accomplishment, lessening anxiety, lowers stress hormones and may reduce the onset of dementia!”

Craft Arena Craft Arena is open from 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Sunday.
