The search is on for the second year to find a new ‘Thirty Under 30’

The search is on for the second year to find a new ‘Thirty Under 30’ group of dynamic individuals to recognise and promote thoroughout the UK stationery industry.  The initiative is run by industry news title Stationery Matters and proved to be extremely popular in 2017.

The competition seeks to attract individuals aged 30 years old or younger and already making waves in their career to enter Stationery Matters’ annual search for the next generation of young stationery stars. You can nominate yourself, ask someone to nominate you, or put forward others.

The first ever Thirty Under 30 Awards in 2017 saw a select panel of industry judges pick out the 30 most promising and enterprising young people from a huge number of entries. The Class of 2017 showcased a huge variety of industry roles, covering sales, marketing, product development, design and more. The youngest winner was just 16 years old. The aim was, and is for the 2018 competition, to identify and acknowledge the important contribution young professionals make to the stationery industry.

As with the debut competition, the 2018 panel of judges will assess entries to discover people who can demonstrate drive, maturity in understanding the wider industry, and a passion for their role. The winners will feature in a Special Focus in the Autumn/Winter issue of Stationery Matters and in a display area at the Stationery Show Manchester in October.

Dynamic under-30s are encouraged to enter, as it can help propel them further in their careers. Last year’s competition has already opened doors and offered exciting new professional opportunities for the Class of 2017. Sidonie Warren, the founder of Papersmiths, designer Nikki Strange and Daniel Mark Carr, global senior brand manager at ColArt, were asked to judge this year’s LaunchPad London competition at the London Stationery Show.

The 2018 Thirty Under 30 competition is now open, so if you know of anyone, or you are interested in entering yourself, find out more on the Stationery Matters websiteThe competition closes for entries on July 31, 2018.
